In Monster Hunter Wilds, Every Weapon Has Its Own Unique Design - IGN First

Concerns about weapon design similarity in Monster Hunter Rise (Wilds is likely a typo) compared to Monster Hunter: World have been addressed by Director Yuya Tokuda. While World weapons often shared a base design with variations based on materials, Tokuda confirmed that Rise's weapons boast unique designs.

This directly contrasts with World, where many weapon lines, even at their highest upgrade levels, retained significant visual similarities. The image below showcases this similarity, comparing the final Aqua and Pukei-Pukei Sword and Shield, and the final Bone and Jyuratodus Long Swords.

In contrast, the Rise weapons shown below demonstrate distinct and individual designs.
