Asus Prime RTX 50 Series Cards Return to MSRP
Certain Asus Prime RTX 50 series graphics cards have returned to their original launch prices on Amazon. In fact, one model—the RTX 5070—is currently priced below MSRP. If you're still using an RTX 30 series card or something older, now might be an excellent time to upgrade. With tariffs pushing up prices across the board, we can't guarantee that stock or pricing will remain stable indefinitely. Besides, older RTX 40 series cards are becoming harder to find and aren't particularly affordable, making them a less viable budget alternative than in the past.
The Asus Prime series represents Asus' value-oriented GPU lineup. These cards offer the best performance for your money, matching the performance of higher-end models without the flashy RGB lighting, bulky heatsinks that take up extra space, or marginal factory overclocks. The 2.5-slot design is slimmer than typical triple-fan coolers (making it suitable for small form factor PCs), yet it outperforms the dual-fan designs found on budget models from other brands. A triple-fan cooling system doesn't need to work as hard as a dual-fan setup to maintain low temperatures, allowing the fans to run slower and quieter.

It delivers on its core promise: smooth 1440p gaming at high frame rates. However, it doesn't necessarily outperform the RTX 4070 Super or other graphics cards in this price segment. The inclusion of Multi Frame Generation is a welcome feature for owners of high-refresh-rate monitors, though this alone may not justify an upgrade."

$749.99 at Amazon Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti GPU Review by Jacqueline Thomas "Priced at $749, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti stands out as the best 4K graphics card for most gamers, offering significantly better value than either the RTX 5080 or 5090. Throughout my testing, this GPU excelled at 4K resolution, performing remarkably close to much more expensive models. This is before even considering multi-frame generation, which will push the RTX 5070 Ti to even higher frame rates, though with some trade-off in latency."

$999.99 at Amazon Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 FE Review by Jacqueline Thomas "If you already own a high-end graphics card from the last couple of generations, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 might not be a compelling upgrade—it doesn't hold a substantial performance advantage over the RTX 4080, though the additional frames from DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation do enhance visual smoothness in supported games. However, for gamers with older graphics cards seeking a significant performance leap, the RTX 5080 delivers—especially if you're keen to take advantage of Nvidia's AI-powered features."
