Application Description
War of Empire Conquest (WOE) is an engaging real-time strategy (RTS) mobile game that thrives on competitive player-versus-player (PvP) action. In WOE, one player initiates a match, and others join in to compete head-to-head. Players enjoy a high degree of freedom, with the ability to manually control a vast array of units and buildings.
The game immerses players in the medieval era, simulating 18 powerful Empires, including China, Japan, Persia, Teutonic, Mongolian, Gothic, Maya, and more. Each Empire boasts 8 types of regular units and one unique unit, enhancing strategic diversity. Regular units, consistent across all Empires, include:
- Swordsman: A versatile and common unit.
- Pikeman: Effective against Cavalry but susceptible to arrows.
- Archers: Vulnerable to Cavalry but strong against Pikemen.
- Light Cavalry: Known for speed and mobility, ideal for harassing enemies.
- Aries: Specialized for attacking buildings.
Buildings in WOE, such as Towers, Turrets, Castles, and Blacksmith Shops, play crucial roles. For example:
- Tower: Primarily offensive, capable of launching 6 arrows simultaneously when staffed by 5 farmers.
- Turret: Focused on demolishing enemy structures.
Each Empire in WOE has unique strengths and weaknesses. Here’s a brief overview:
- Huns: No need for housing, saving time. Cavalry requires 20% fewer resources and can be upgraded to Rangers.
- Teutonic: Boasts powerful but slow-moving warriors reminiscent of historical Spartans.
The core gameplay revolves around three simultaneous objectives:
- Develop Economy: Maximize farmer production and resource collection, utilizing structures like Town Centers (TC) and Towers as temporary shelters.
- Harass Enemies: Early game, deploy small units to disrupt enemy farmers and gain strategic advantages.
- Destroy Enemies: Engage in combat to dismantle enemy forces.
Teamwork and understanding unit dynamics are essential. Key unit restraints include:
- The Pikeman restrains the Cavalry.
- The Cavalry restrains the Archer.
- The Archer restrains the Pikeman.
- The Slave (riding a camel) restrains the Cavalry.
- The Koryo Carriage restrains all other ranged units.
Players can form legions with allies to overcome numerically superior foes and protect high-damage, low-HP units. The game features two primary resources: Food and Gold, and as gameplay progresses, the TC can evolve through eras from the Dark Ages to the Feudal, Castle, and Emperor Eras, unlocking advanced technologies, buildings, and units.
WOE offers various game modes, with Normal Mode and Imperial Deathmatch Mode being the most popular:
- Normal Mode: Characterized by limited resources, necessitating a focus on development while allowing for early harassment. It’s complex but highly engaging.
- Imperial Deathmatch Mode: Players start in the Emperor Era with abundant resources, enabling immediate intense battles.
Having run successfully in China for four years, WOE has evolved through numerous updates to version 1.8.n, incorporating key features such as:
- Player vs. CPU matches
- Network Play
- Spectator Mode
- Replay functionality
- Map Creation
- Legion formation
- Friends system
- Chat capabilities
War of Empire Conquest offers a rich, strategic experience that demands both tactical acumen and cooperative play, making it a standout in the RTS mobile gaming landscape.
