3D action RPG AlternaVvelt Blue Exorcist Another Story Lands on Mobile

After more than a year since its initial announcement, AlternaVvelt Blue Exorcist Another Story has officially launched on Android. This 3D action RPG, published by Aniplex for mobile devices, offers a fresh perspective on the Blue Exorcist universe with an all-new storyline.

The game faced numerous delays and uncertainties, but it has now rolled out globally across Japan, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Australia, Brazil, Thailand, Singapore, and the Philippines.

The dark fantasy world crafted by Kazue Kato returns in a new form

While the game retains familiar locations such as True Cross Academy Town, it is not a retelling or direct continuation of the main series. Instead, it’s a spin-off with its own unique direction and original cast.

A completely new set of characters has been introduced, all designed by Kazue Kato, the original manga’s creator. You’ll still encounter familiar faces like Rin Okumura and his brother Yukio, but the story ventures into uncharted territory never before explored in the anime or manga.

In gameplay, you can master various Demonic Elements, combine Arcana with Skills, and face off against powerful bosses in multiplayer modes with guild mates or friends.

The game also includes social features like room customization, allowing you to design your own spaces and explore those of other players. The fully voiced story features acclaimed voice actors including Jun Fukuyama, Kana Hanazawa, Yuki Kaji, Tetsuya Kakihara, and Hiroshi Kamiya.

Alterna Vvelt isn’t a direct sequel to the original Blue Exorcist, but it shows strong potential. If you’re intrigued, download the game from the Google Play Store.
