The much-anticipated single-player action game, Lost Soul Aside, has faced a three-month delay, shifting its release from May 30 to August 29, 2025, as announced by its developer, Ultizero Games. After nearly a decade in development, the game was set to launch next month on PC and PlayStation 5, but the team needs additional time to ensure the game meets their high standards.

In a recent interview with IGN, Yang Bing discussed the lengthy journey towards the game's launch. The excitement around Lost Soul Aside has been building since Bing's initial reveal video went viral in 2016, with many praising its blend of Final Fantasy-inspired characters and Devil May Cry-style combat.

The game's protagonist, Kesar, wields a versatile, shape-shifting weapon that allows players to switch playstyles. Accompanied by a dragon-like companion named Arena, who can summon abilities to aid Kesar, players will experience a dynamic combat system. Lost Soul Aside emphasizes aerial dodging, precision timing, combos, and countering, culminating in large-scale boss fights. The narrative takes players across multiple dimensions, blending a sci-fi premise with contemporary aesthetics. While the story's full arc remains somewhat mysterious based on trailers, Bing describes Kesar's journey as one of "redemption and discovery."
