Developers Commit to Strengthening Content Review Procedures

Controversial Gameplay Mechanic Removed from inZOI

As Early Access reveals more about inZOI, players discovered a disturbing gameplay element where player-controlled vehicles could strike children. A March 28 Reddit post titled "Vehicle Collision Mechanics Need Reevaluation" demonstrated this concerning interaction where a child character was violently thrown upon impact.

While developers had previously mentioned vehicle collision mechanics during the inZOI Online Showcase, they hadn't specified these effects applied to child characters. Krafton representatives clarified on March 28 that this was an unintended oversight, now corrected in the latest update.

The official statement explained: "These interactions didn't align with our creative vision for inZOI. We take this situation seriously and are enhancing our content review protocols to ensure age-appropriate mechanics moving forward." This adjustment maintains the game's Teen rating while addressing the problematic interaction.

Kim acknowledged inspiration from The Sims 4's playful charm while explaining inZOI's different creative direction. "Our immersive visuals create distinct experiences we're excited to share, even if they require different design solutions than more stylized competitors."
