Victoria Hand: A Versatile Marvel Snap Card & Deckbuilding Guide

Marvel Snap's 2025 Spotlight Cache introduces Victoria Hand, an Ongoing card boosting the Power of cards generated in your hand. While primarily associated with card-generation decks, Victoria Hand surprisingly excels in discard decks as well. This guide presents two effective deck builds showcasing her adaptability within the current metagame.

Optimal Victoria Hand Deck

This card-generation deck centers around the synergistic power of Victoria Hand and Devil Dinosaur. The core consists of: Victoria Hand, Devil Dinosaur, Quinjet, Mirage, Frigga, Valentina, Cosmo, Agent Coulson, Agent 13, Kate Bishop, and Moon Girl.

Card Cost Power
Victoria Hand 2 3
Devil Dinosaur 5 3
The Collector 2 2
Quinjet 1 2
Agent Coulson 3 4
Agent 13 1 2
Mirage 2 2
Frigga 3 4
Kate Bishop 2 3
Moon Girl 4 5
Valentina 2 3
Cosmo 3 3

Flexible slots (Agent 13, Kate Bishop, Frigga) can be substituted with Iron Patriot, Mystique, or Speed, depending on your strategic needs.

Victoria Hand Deck Synergies

  • Victoria Hand enhances cards generated in your hand.
  • Agent Coulson, Agent 13, Mirage, Frigga, Valentina, Kate Bishop, and Moon Girl are your card generators. Frigga and Moon Girl also duplicate key cards for added buffs or disruption.
  • Quinjet reduces the cost of generated cards, enabling you to play more.
  • The Collector's power increases with each generated card.
  • Cosmo serves as a protective tech card, shielding Devil Dinosaur and Victoria Hand from attacks.
  • Devil Dinosaur is your primary win condition, ideally played after Moon Girl or with numerous generated cards in hand.

A note of caution: Some players report Victoria Hand might buff cards generated in the opponent's hand or cards that change locations. This might be a bug or an unintended effect. Regardless, it's crucial to be aware of this potential issue.

Effective Gameplay Strategies

When playing a Victoria Hand deck:

  1. Manage Energy and Card Generation: Balance energy expenditure with card generation. Aim for a full hand for maximum Devil Dinosaur growth, while still having the energy to generate cards and utilize Victoria Hand's effect. Sometimes skipping a turn to maintain a full hand is strategically superior to filling the board.
  2. Use Joker Cards for Deception: The deck generates random cards. Use these strategically as distractions to mislead your opponent and maintain uncertainty about your next move.
  3. Protect Your Ongoing Lane: Opponents will likely target your Victoria Hand lane with tech cards like Enchantress. Counter this by playing Devil Dinosaur and Victoria Hand in the same lane (creating an Ongoing setup) and protecting them with Cosmo.

Alternative Discard Deck

Victoria Hand also finds a home in refined discard decks. A strong lineup includes: Victoria Hand, Helicarrier, MODOK, Morbius, Scorn, Blade, Apocalypse, Swarm, Corvus Glaive, Colleen Wing, Lady Sif, and The Collector.

Card Cost Power
Victoria Hand 2 3
Helicarrier 6 10
Morbius 2 0
Lady Sif 3 5
Scorn 1 2
Blade 1 3
Corvus Glaive 3 5
Colleen Wing 2 4
Apocalypse 6 8
Swarm 2 3
The Collector 2 2
MODOK 5 8

Countering Victoria Hand

Super Skrull is an effective counter, particularly beneficial against both Victoria Hand and Doctor Doom 2099 decks. Shadow King removes Victoria Hand's buffs from a single lane, while Enchantress negates her Ongoing effect entirely. Valkyrie can also disrupt power distribution in key lanes.

Is Victoria Hand Worth It?

Victoria Hand is a valuable card. Her consistent buffs and adaptability across multiple archetypes (card-generation and discard) make her a worthwhile investment, whether acquired through the Spotlight Cache or with Tokens. While her effectiveness has some RNG dependency, her overall value is undeniable for many players.
