Chrono Cross: Radical Dreamers Returns to Nintendo Switch eShop

Triangle Strategy Returns to Nintendo Switch eShop

Good news for RPG fans! Triangle Strategy is back on the Nintendo Switch eShop after a short absence. The popular Square Enix title's return follows a brief delisting from the online store. This means players can now purchase and download the game without issue.

Triangle Strategy, lauded for its classic tactical RPG gameplay, was a significant release for Square Enix. Its strategic combat, reminiscent of Fire Emblem, involves maneuvering units for maximum damage.

The game's reappearance, announced via a Twitter statement, follows speculation about a recent transfer of publishing rights from Nintendo to Square Enix. While no official reason was given for the delisting, this acquisition is a likely explanation.

This isn't the first time a Square Enix title has been temporarily removed from the eShop. Octopath Traveler faced a similar situation last year, though its absence lasted considerably longer. Triangle Strategy's return after just four days is a welcome relief.

The game's availability is positive news for Nintendo Switch owners and highlights the ongoing collaboration between Square Enix and Nintendo. This partnership is longstanding, evidenced by past console exclusives like the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series and the initial release of Dragon Quest 11 on Switch. While Square Enix now releases on multiple platforms, its history of console exclusives, dating back to the original Final Fantasy on NES, continues with titles like Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (currently PlayStation 5 exclusive).
