Bug Out Event Returns with Sizzlipede Debut in Pokémon Go

Author : Bella Update : Mar 28,2025

Get ready, trainers! The Bug Out event is making a thrilling return to Pokémon Go, and it's set to run from March 26th to 30th. This event promises an exciting lineup of Bug-type Pokémon, including the debut of Sizzlipede and its evolution, Centiskorch. You'll be buzzing with anticipation as you dive into wild encounters, raids, bonuses, and new challenges designed to keep you engaged and entertained.

Lure Modules will be your best friend during the Bug Out event. Not only will they attract Sizzlipede, but if enough Pokémon are caught using a single Lure Module, the number of Pokémon appearing at a PokéStop will increase, making your hunting grounds even more fruitful.

The event comes packed with bonuses that will make every catch more rewarding. You'll earn double XP and extra Candy for Nice Throws or better, with an increased chance of receiving Candy XL for trainers level 31 and above. Shiny hunters will be thrilled to know that the odds of encountering Shiny Wurmple and Shiny Venipede are higher during this event.

Prepare to see a swarm of Bug-types in the wild, with frequent appearances from Pokémon like Caterpie, Weedle, Wurmple, Nincada, Venipede, Dwebble, Joltik, Grubbin, Dewpider, and Nymble. Keep your eyes peeled, as you might even come across the elusive Cutiefly.

Sizzlipede will make its raid debut in one-star raids alongside Scyther and Nincada, while Beedrill, Scizor, and Kleavor will dominate three-star raids. Completing the event-themed Field Research tasks will grant you Mega Energy, Scatterbug Candy, and encounters with event Pokémon, adding even more value to your gameplay.

Don't miss the free Timed Research opportunity, which includes encounters with Shedinja, Sizzlipede, Kleavor, and more, along with a Lure Module. For those looking to maximize their rewards, a Paid Timed Research option is available for $2 or the local equivalent, offering encounters with Heracross, Sizzlipede, and Kleavor, plus two Premium Battle Passes and an extra Lure Module.

New Collection Challenges will reward you with Stardust, XP, and Pokémon encounters, while PokéStop Showcases will spotlight event-themed Pokémon. And don't forget to check out the in-game shop for the new Sizzlipede Boots and a Scolipede Jacket to complete your Bug Out look.
