Leveling grants attribute and ability points, allowing you to customize your character—be it a skilled warrior or a powerful mage. Attributes determine your character's strengths. Fortunately, Avowed lets you respec your points, making experimentation easy.

Exploring the World of Avowed

While not fully open-world, Avowed offers non-linear exploration. While story objectives are marked, don't solely focus on them. Explore buildings, caves, and areas to discover loot, resources, and numerous side quests (many offering easy XP). Books and notes enrich the lore, while treasure maps lead to valuable rewards. Health and essence potions are readily available from vendors and throughout the world (easily identified by their red and pink glows). Leveling up provides skill and attribute points. Remember to invest in your companions' abilities. Strong companions are invaluable in combat, offering support and healing, preventing overwhelming enemy encounters.

Gather resources to upgrade weapons and gear at the crafting station in your camp. Focus on upgrading gear you plan to use for a longer period. Upgrades enhance attack power, critical hit chance, and defense.
