La reciente actualización de Capcom a sus versiones para iOS y iPadOS de Resident Evil 7 biohazard, Resident Evil 4 Remake y Resident Evil Village ha introducido un cambio controvertido : DRM en línea obligatorio. Si bien las actualizaciones a menudo mejoran la optimización o la compatibilidad, esta actualización requiere una conexión a Internet para verificar la propiedad del juego al iniciarse.
