How to Play Okey Game

Okey is traditionally played with four players. The game uses a cue stick to help sort the tiles, which come in four colors: Red, Black, Yellow, and Blue, numbered from 1 to 13. In total, there are 106 tiles, including two fake Okey tiles.

At the start, tiles are shuffled and automatically distributed among the players. The player to the left of the dealer receives 15 tiles, while the others get 14. Players then organize their tiles into groups or pairs according to their cues.

Undistributed tiles are placed in the middle of the table, where an open numbered tile serves as the indicator stone. The tile matching the color and number of the indicator stone becomes the Okey Stone, which can substitute for any tile in the game. Finishing with an Okey tile doubles the points earned.

Normal Tile Arrangement

Players aim to create at least three pairs of tiles. These pairs can be formed in two ways: sequentially by color or by matching numbers across different colors.

Pair Formation

To end the game, a player must arrange all tiles into seven pairs and discard the last tile to the center of the table.

Indicator Rule

At the start of a new game, the next player reveals the indicator tile. If it's colored Okey, points are deducted; otherwise, two points are subtracted.

End of Game

The game ends when a player discards their final tile. If it's not an Okey, it's a normal finish, deducting two points if it's colored Okey, or four points otherwise. Completing the game with seven pairs deducts four points from opponents. Achieving a color finish, where all tiles are the same color and in order from 1 to 13, zeros out opponents' points. If all tiles are the same color but not in order, eight points are deducted from other players.
