Wild Rift Patch 6.1 Goes Cosmic Mid-April
LoL: Wild Rift Patch 6.1: Ascending Stars is set to launch on April 16th, and it's bringing a cosmic overhaul that will transform your gaming experience from the menus to the battlefield. This update will take you on an adventure through the Dual Nova galaxy, where you'll explore the Challenger’s Star and Adventure’s Star.
Three new champions are set to shake up the Wild Rift meta, each bringing unique abilities that can change the course of any match. Ryze, the Rune Mage, offers immense area of effect (AoE) damage and the ability to teleport teammates across the map with his Realm Warp. Nocturne, the Eternal Nightmare, thrives on chaos, using his Paranoia to plunge enemies into total darkness. Lastly, Zilean, the Chronokeeper, manipulates time, slowing down enemies and even reviving allies with his Chronoshift.
Several champions are also getting reworks. Garen’s Courage will now scale over time, making him even more resilient, while his Judgment ability will shred enemy armor. Ambessa is transitioning from the jungle to the Baron lane, with adjustments to her damage and life steal. Smaller tweaks are also coming for Diana, Fiora, Jax, Sona, and Kalista, ensuring a fresh feel for these popular champions.
Beyond champion updates, a new Bandle-inspired Rift will enhance non-Ranked modes, featuring Enchanted Gifts that appear through portals during the laning phase. Mages are in for a treat with new item updates, including the Bandle Fantasy item that adds extra burst damage, Hextech GLP800 which slows enemies with frost bombs, and Malignance which enhances ultimate abilities, making spellcasters even more formidable.
Ranked mode is also getting a facelift. A new season will begin with the launch of the Challenger’s Star, introducing updates to the Ranked store and a more straightforward way to earn seasonal rewards. Midway through the patch, the Adventure’s Star will unlock, introducing AAAARAM—a new twist on ARAM with added augments and stunning galactic visuals.
The Wild Pass for this patch will offer two stunning skins: Wondertown Twisted Fate and Battlecast Nasus. Twisted Fate's new look introduces an entirely new skinline, adding to the visual appeal of the game.
