This free-to-play 5v5 hero shooter, which initially debuted on PC via Steam on March 6, faced a slight delay for its console versions due to last-minute optimization needs. The upcoming release promises cross-play functionality, allowing seamless gaming across all platforms.

⚫︎ On March 18, FragPunk introduced a significant balance update without any server downtime. This update enhances the overall movement speed and refines footstep audio effects. Additionally, it includes weapon and Lancer ability balancing, disables the “Hide your name” feature to bolster anti-cheat measures, and fixes numerous gameplay and UI issues.

⚫︎ Bad Guitar, the developer behind FragPunk, announced a delay in the console release due to unforeseen technical challenges in optimization and adaptation. These issues surfaced during compliance testing for the Xbox and PlayStation versions, leading to a postponement to ensure a uniform gaming experience across all platforms.

To make up for the delay, all console players will receive rewards upon the game's launch, including in-game currencies, cosmetics, and experience boosts. More details on these rewards will be provided in upcoming updates.
