Sims 4 Unveils Guide to Mending in 'Blast From the Past' Event
The Sims 4's Blast from the Past event offers numerous rewards, but acquiring them presents challenges. One particularly tricky task involves breaking and repairing an object. This guide outlines the process.
Week 2's challenges require raising your Sim's Handiness skill to level 2 or higher. The subsequent task – repairing a broken object – lacks clear instructions. The simplest solution is to intentionally break an item. While using the "prank" interaction is an option, it requires specific Sim traits, adding unnecessary complexity. A more straightforward method involves repeatedly using an item until it breaks.
The Ambassador toilet is an inexpensive choice. Repeated use (approximately a dozen times) will cause it to malfunction, spraying water. This can be done by your Sim or invited guests. Once broken, the toilet becomes a repairable object.
With Handiness at level 2, simply select the "Repair" interaction on the broken toilet. After a short time, the repair is complete, resolving the Blast from the Past challenge.
