Schedule I, the drug dealer simulation game that has taken Steam by storm, is rolling out its latest update, Patch 5, bringing the game to version 0.3.3f14. Amidst its viral success, the game continues to evolve with significant improvements and fixes, but the excitement peaks with the announcement of its first content update, slated for this weekend.

Currently topping the charts as the best-selling game on Steam, Schedule I has outshone giants like Monster Hunter Wilds, GTA 5, and Marvel Rivals. Its popularity surged across social media, Twitch, and YouTube, drawing in players eager to climb from a small-time dealer to a dominant kingpin in the gritty urban landscape of Hyland Point. The game allows players to expand their empire through acquiring properties, managing businesses, and hiring employees.

Developed and published by the Australian indie developer Tyler, known as TVGS, the overwhelming success of Schedule I has been both "amazing but pretty overwhelming," according to Tyler. In a Reddit post, Tyler expressed astonishment at the game's reception and committed to focusing on rapid patch releases and upcoming content updates, once major bugs are resolved.

Tweaks/Improvements

  • Added an active display setting to choose which monitor the game displays on.
  • Botanists will now automatically move product from their supplies to drying racks.
  • Owned vehicles are now visible on the map app.
  • Implemented a few validity checks/failsafes for NPC pathfinding and warping to prevent crashes on certain chipsets.
  • Refactored employee item movement behaviour for smarter interactions.
  • Implemented NPC effects culling at a certain distance to boost performance.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed non-host clients sometimes unable to hit or stand in blackjack.
  • Resolved a quest UI bug causing infinite loading screens in multiplayer.
  • Fixed clipboard selections not reassigning without manual clearing.
  • Corrected the dealer prematurely revealing its hand to non-host players in blackjack.
  • Fixed first-person jacket visuals.
  • Addressed the 'Master Chef' achievement being awarded prematurely.
  • Fixed property null references causing multiplayer loading and desync issues.
  • The drying rack 'dry' button is now non-interactable if the input slot is reserved by an employee.
  • Fixed NPC 'stay in building' behaviour errors for non-host players.
  • Corrected NPC voiceover emitters throwing null references.
