Minecraft Live 2025 Unveils Vibrant Visuals, Flying Ghast, and More

Minecraft Live 2025 has concluded with Mojang unveiling a series of exciting updates and new content for the iconic game. The year's first game drop, dubbed "Spring to Life," is set to launch on March 25, bringing significant enhancements to the Overworld. This update will make biomes feel more immersive and alive, introducing new variants for classic mobs like cows, pigs, and chickens. Additionally, players can look forward to new ambient features and sounds, including the glittering firefly bush, falling leaves, and whispers of sand, enriching the exploration experience.

The second game drop, yet to be named, promises intriguing additions to the game. A new block, the Dried Ghast, will be introduced, which can be rehydrated to create a Ghastling, a smaller, baby version of the Ghast. Further nurturing the Ghastling with snowballs will evolve it into a Happy Ghast, a new mob variant that players can harness to fly, carrying up to four players at a time. This feature will be particularly useful for builders in Survival Mode, offering a taste of Creative Mode freedom within the constraints of Survival.

In other news, Mojang shared a new clip from the upcoming "A Minecraft Movie" and announced a movie-themed in-game live event starting on March 25. This event, set in Midport Village, invites players to join Steve and his movie companions in a multiplayer experience, defending the village from a piglin attack through three engaging mini-games. The event runs from March 25 to April 7, and completing all challenges rewards players with the exclusive Yearn cape.
