Schedule I made headlines as the top-selling game on Steam upon its launch, surpassing major titles like Monster Hunter Wilds, GTA 5, and Marvel Rivals. Its viral spread across social media, Twitch, and YouTube propelled its success. In the game, players start as small-time dealers in the gritty city of Hyland Point, aiming to rise to the status of kingpin by manufacturing and distributing various drugs. Expansion of your empire includes acquiring properties, businesses, and hiring employees.
Developed and published by the Australian indie developer Tyler under the banner TVGS, Schedule I's explosive launch has been described as "amazing but pretty overwhelming." Tyler shared his surprise and gratitude on Reddit, stating, "I never expected this kind of response! At the moment I’m just trying to stay focused and get patches out ASAP. Also looking forward to getting started on content updates as soon as all major bugs are patched."
