Your journey begins with the default class, The Nothing Role. To upgrade, head to the purple-marked class store and take your chances with the spinning mechanism. You have two options: Regular Spin at 3 Dabloons per attempt, or Lucky Spin, which you can purchase separately for better odds.
Regular Spin
- Common: 62.5%
- Rare: 30.25%
- Epic: 7%
- Legendary: 0.25%
Lucky Spin
- Rare: 30.25%
- Epic: 64.75%
- Legendary: 5%
Be warned, the odds in Dead Sails can be frustratingly low, often making it tougher than advertised. We suggest new players save up at least 250 Dabloons before attempting to spin for Epic and Legendary classes, as this game can demand a significant daily grind.
Common Classes Tier List
**Class Name** | **Class Buffs** | **Why This Tier?** |
**Pirate** | Boat speed is increased by 20mp/h. | The Pirate earns a **B-Tier** ranking and is the second-best starting class due to its highly beneficial speed boost, which remains useful throughout the game. |
**Miner** | Spawns with dynamite. | The Miner falls into **D-Tier** because dynamite is a situational and often ineffective weapon. |
Rare Classes Tier List
**Class Name** | **Class Buffs** | **Why This Tier?** |
**Gunslinger** | Spawn with a random gun and ammo. | The Gunslinger lands in **C-Tier**. It's better than nothing, but not worth the Dabloons. |
**Medic** | Spawn with additional heals. | The Medic also sits in **C-Tier**. Additional healing packs sound promising but aren't essential. |
Epic Class Tier List
**Class Name** | **Class Buffs** | **Why This Tier?** |
**Priest** | Spawn with 3 crosses and 1 holy water. | The Priest is **A-Tier**, offering an excellent cost-availability ratio. Multiple Priests can be devastating in both combat and cash accumulation. |
Legendary Classes Tier List
**Class Name** | **Class Buffs** | **Why This Tier?** |
**Screw Loose** | Has more stamina and better speed. | The Screw Loose surprisingly ranks **B-Tier**. Stamina and speed, while beneficial, aren't as crucial as you might think at the start. |
**Rich** | Starts with more cash and valuable items. | The Rich class is **S-Tier**. As in real life, having a lot of cash opens many doors. |
**Pyromaniac** | Turns anything into fuel, including junk and stuff. | The Pyromaniac is **A-Tier**, though it could also be **B-Tier** depending on your playstyle. It saves a lot of time, so we give it an A. |
**Necromancer** | Revives and recruits the mobs you kill. | The Necromancer is **S-Tier**, likely the most powerful class in the game. Period. |
**Trader** | Sells items for a higher price. | The Trader is **A-Tier** due to the significant amount of money it can generate over time. |
**Sheriff** | Gets a cool weapon right from the start. | The Sheriff is **A-Tier**. Starting with a powerful weapon is helpful but not crucial for success. |
