"Calico Nerfed, Sinclair Reworked in Latest Deadlock Update"
Valve keeps the excitement alive for Deadlock players with a steady stream of updates, and the latest patch, though modest in size, brings significant changes to four heroes. This update marks the fifth for Deadlock in 2025 and the first for February, showcasing Valve's new approach to game development without a fixed patch schedule. Updates are now released as needed, ensuring that players receive timely tweaks and enhancements.
Calico, a fan-favorite, has faced a substantial nerf. Her Return to Shadows ability now has a cooldown that's been increased by ten seconds, with 20% of the speed shifted to T2. Additionally, the damage output from T2 Leaping Slash has been dialed back, making her less formidable in combat.
Sinclair, on the other hand, has undergone a transformation with updated sounds and animations, while his Rabbit Hex ability has evolved into an AoE (Area of Effect) skill, broadening its impact on the battlefield. Both Holliday and Wraith have also been hit with nerfs, adjusting their effectiveness in gameplay.
The update didn't spare the items either. Ammo Scavenger now provides fewer stacks and no longer offers a health bonus, diminishing its utility. Similarly, Extra Stamina and Restorative Shot have lost their bonuses to Fire Rate and Weapon Damage, respectively, prompting players to rethink their strategies.
