Every Assassin's Creed Game Tier List
Ubisoft's latest stealth-action open-world adventure, *Assassin's Creed Shadows*, has arrived, prompting the age-old question: where does it rank among its many predecessors? With over 30 games in the franchise, we're focusing solely on the mainline entries—leaving out mobile, spin-offs, and side-scrolling adventures.
The *Assassin's Creed* journey began in 2007 with Desmond Miles and Altaïr. Now, 18 years later, we find ourselves in 16th-century Japan, playing as Naoe and Yasuke. This 14th core series installment has inspired me to create a personal tier list based purely on enjoyment. Check it out:

*Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag* holds a special place in my heart. Its blend of island exploration, naval combat, and memorable characters creates, in my opinion, the quintessential *Assassin's Creed* experience. It shares the S-tier with *Assassin's Creed II*, the game that truly launched the series into the stratosphere. *Valhalla*, surprisingly perhaps, sits in the A-tier. I thoroughly enjoyed its Viking-inspired combat and the addictive Orlog minigame. Rounding out the A-tier is *Unity*, whose recreation of revolutionary-era Paris remains breathtaking even a decade later.
Disagree? Think *Valhalla* is too sprawling? Believe *Assassin's Creed II* is overrated? Create your own tier list below and compare your rankings (S, A, B, C, and D tiers) with the IGN community!
