Samsung Notes is a versatile tool that allows you to create, edit, and collaborate on documents across your mobile, tablet, or PC. This app empowers you to enhance your documents with annotations using the S Pen, and you can even integrate images or voice recordings into your notes. Its connectivity extends to various apps like PDF, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint, making it an essential tool for seamless document management.

Getting started is easy. To create a new note, simply tap the + icon located at the bottom right corner of the main screen. Your newly created notes will be saved with the “sdocx” extension, ensuring compatibility and easy access.

To keep your notes secure, you can lock them. From the main screen, tap More Options in the upper right corner, then select Settings, and choose Lock Note. Here, you can select your preferred locking method and set a password. To lock a specific note, go to the note's screen, tap More Options, and select Lock Note.

For those who prefer handwritten notes, Samsung Notes makes it simple. Just tap the Handwriting icon while writing, and your handwriting will appear directly on the note. Adding photos is just as straightforward: tap the photo icon within your note to capture a new photo or load and edit an existing one. You can even add tags to your photos for better organization.

Voice recordings are another great feature. By tapping the Voice Recording icon, you can record sound and create a note with audio content, enhancing your note-taking experience.

Samsung Notes also offers a variety of writing tools. Tap the Pen icon to access pens, fountain pens, pencils, highlighters, and more, with options for different colors and thicknesses. If you need to make corrections, the Eraser icon allows you to selectively remove content.

If you've used S Note and Memo on other devices, you can easily import your data using the Smart Switch feature. Additionally, you can import notes and memos previously saved with your Samsung account, ensuring all your important information is consolidated in one place.

Regarding app access permissions, Samsung Notes requires certain permissions to function fully. Required permissions include Storage, which is used to save or load document files. Optional permissions include access to Photos and Videos, Notifications, Music and Audio, Phone, Microphone, and Camera. These permissions enhance your ability to add pictures, videos, and audio to your notes, but the app's basic functions remain accessible even if these optional permissions are not granted.
