Beyond standard firearms, unique weapon variants with enhanced stats and modifications exist, and the Cavalier sniper rifle is a prime example. Acquiring the Cavalier Sniper Rifle

The Cavalier is located within the Duga base, specifically in a warehouse adjacent to a greenhouse near the Military Unit. You may already be familiar with this area if you've previously retrieved the Journalist stash. Access is easiest via the secondary entrance.

Accessing the Warehouse

Upon entering Duga, proceed towards the Military Unit building (as indicated on your map). Circumvent the building to reach the greenhouse at its rear. Beware of two Pseudogiants patrolling this area; they'll attack on sight. Approach cautiously to avoid unnecessary conflict.

Traverse the greenhouse to enter the warehouse. Be prepared for a swarm of rats upon entry; they'll inflict damage. Utilize the elevated green platforms at the warehouse's rear for cover. A grenade is recommended to quickly eliminate the rodent threat.

Retrieving the Cavalier

Once the rats are dealt with, examine the warehouse ceiling above the greenhouse entrance. You'll spot yellow-painted wooden boards. Destroy these boards using your weapon to dislodge the Cavalier sniper rifle.

After retrieving the weapon, safely exit Duga. The Cavalier can be further upgraded by Screw, the technician at Rostok base. Its high damage and accuracy, enhanced by upgrades and modifications, make it a formidable weapon. The red-dot sight makes it particularly suitable for players who prefer a scope-less sniper rifle experience in close to medium-range engagements.
