Rust Unveils Major Update: Cooking and Farming Enhanced

Rust, the renowned multiplayer survival game, has just released an exciting update known as The Crafting Update, designed to significantly enhance the creative possibilities for its players. This major patch introduces a variety of new features, with one of the standout additions being the culinary workbench. Here, survivors can now indulge in gourmet experiences by grilling chicken legs and sipping on Siberian vodka. To master the art of cooking, players will need to follow specific recipes. Well-prepared dishes not only satiate hunger but also grant stat boosts and modifiers that can greatly improve gameplay.

Another fascinating addition is the ability to raise chickens and chicks in specially designed coops. These coops provide a safe environment where the birds can live, lay eggs, and flourish if properly tended to. Each chick comes with four essential attributes to monitor: Hunger, Thirst, Love, and Sunlight. Failing to meet any of these needs can lead to the unfortunate demise of the birds. Chicken meat, once obtained, is perishable and will spoil over time unless kept in a working refrigerator. To help manage food freshness, timers are now displayed on food items, indicating their expiration dates.

For those with a penchant for sweets, the update includes the discovery of wild beehives on trees. Players must delicately extract honeycombs and transfer them to player-crafted hives made from wooden boxes. Handling bees can be hazardous, so protective suits, water dousing, or even flamethrowers are necessary to avoid painful stings. A new weapon, the Bee Grenade, adds a unique twist to combat. This grenade looks like a jar of honey and, when broken, unleashes three swarms of aggressive bees, compelling players to scatter for safety.

The engineering workbench has undergone a comprehensive overhaul, now boasting a dedicated tech tree for plumbing and electricity. This advancement enables players to construct sophisticated automated systems and even entire factories, pushing the boundaries of what's possible within the game. Furthermore, to enhance the gaming experience, developers have introduced premium servers. These servers are exclusive to players with a Rust inventory valued at least at $15, aiming to create a more enjoyable and fair environment by filtering out cheaters and disruptive individuals.
