Monster Hunter Wilds (MH Wilds) has set a new record for Capcom, selling over 8 million units within three days of its release. This achievement marks a significant milestone in the company's history. According to SteamDB, MH Wilds has also seen tremendous success on Steam, reaching over 1.3 million concurrent players despite receiving mixed reviews. Capcom credits this success to their extensive promotional efforts, including global video game event appearances and an open beta test that allowed players to experience the game firsthand.

Latest Update Addressed Game-Breaking Bug

MH Wilds has now addressed bugs that limited players’ progress in the game. Monster Hunter’s official support account, Monster Hunter Status, posted on Twitter (X) on March 4, 2025, that hot fix patch Ver.1.000.04.00 is now live on all platforms.

The latest update for Monster Hunter Wilds has tackled several critical bugs that were hindering player progress. The hot fix patch Ver.1.000.04.00, released on March 4, 2025, addresses issues such as the "Grill a Meal" and "Ingredient Center" features not unlocking despite meeting the criteria, the Monster Field Guide being inaccessible, and a game-breaking bug that blocked story progression in Chapter 5-2 "A World Turned Upside Down." Players are required to update the game to continue playing online.

However, not all bugs have been resolved in this update. Issues such as network errors when firing an SOS flare after a quest begins, and Palico’s blunt weapon attacks not inflicting stun and exhaust damages, remain. These multiplayer-related bugs are expected to be fixed in a future patch.
