Mecha BREAK May Unlock All Starting Mechs Following Player Feedback

Mecha BREAK recently wrapped up its open beta, leaving developers at Amazing Seasun with a wealth of player feedback to consider. One significant change under discussion is the possibility of making all starting mechs available for free from the outset. Let's delve into how the developers are responding to this feedback and the potential changes on the horizon.

Mecha BREAK Developers Considering Making All Mechs Free

Mecha BREAK May Unlock All Starting Mechs Following Player Feedback

The multiplayer mech game, Mecha BREAK, concluded its open beta on Steam on March 16, drawing in over 300,000 players at its peak. This impressive turnout has propelled the game to become the 5th most wishlisted title on Steam, reflecting significant community interest and engagement.

Amazing Seasun, the Chinese developer behind Mecha BREAK, is actively evaluating player suggestions. Key among these is the idea to make all Break Strikers (mechs) freely available from the start. This change would affect both 3v3 and 6v6 competitive modes, potentially altering how players use mech modules. However, the company has yet to make a final decision, emphasizing the importance of a live service model for the game's launch and future growth.

Currently, at the game's outset, players start with access to only one Break Striker. Unlocking the remaining 11 requires earning in-game currency through multiplayer matches, which can be a time-consuming process. The proposed change aims to remove this barrier, allowing players immediate access to all 12 Break Strikers and enhancing the overall gameplay experience.
