How the Competitive Rank Reset Works

At the end of each Marvel Rivals season, your Competitive rank drops seven tiers. For example, a Diamond I player would reset to Gold II. Players ending the season in Bronze III remain at Bronze III.

When the Rank Reset Happens

The Competitive rank reset occurs at the end of each season. Season 1, starting January 10th (at the time of writing), is when the first reset is expected.

Marvel Rivals Rank Tiers

Competitive mode unlocks at player level 10. You earn points to climb through tiers; every 100 points advances you to the next tier. The ranks are:

  • Bronze (III-I)
  • Silver (III-I)
  • Gold (III-I)
  • Platinum (III-I)
  • Diamond (III-I)
  • Grandmaster (III-I)
  • Eternity
  • One Above All (Top 500 Leaderboard)

Even after reaching Grandmaster I, you can continue earning points for Eternity and One Above All.

How Long Do Seasons Last in Marvel Rivals?

While Season 0 was shorter, future seasons are anticipated to last approximately three months. New seasons will introduce new heroes (like the Fantastic Four) and maps, giving players ample time to climb the ranks.
