How to Get & Use Bright Blood in Hyper Light Breaker
Bright Blood, the most common resource, is earned by defeating enemies, destroying objects, and opening crates in the Overgrowth. Selling gear to vendors in the Hub also yields Bright Blood.
Use your Bright Blood to:
- Loot Blades and Rails from corpses in the Overgrowth.
- Open Stashes and other crates in the Overgrowth.
- Purchase new gear from vendors in the Overgrowth and Hub.
- Upgrade gear at Hub vendors.
How to Get & Use Gold Ration in Hyper Light Breaker
Gold Rations are earned by completing Cycles. Early game Cycles involve dying four times and using all your Rezes. After depleting your Rezes, locate the NPC at the Hub's Telepad and provide the requested materials to reset the Overgrowth and progress towards earning Gold Rations.
Gold Rations are essential for meta-progression. Use them to unlock permanent upgrades via Pherus Bit in the Hub and access new vendor services.
How to Get & Use Abyss Stone in Hyper Light Breaker
Abyss Stones are obtained by defeating Crowns, challenging bosses found through gates in the Overgrowth. Remember, you need Prisms (locations marked with yellow diamonds on the map) before engaging Crowns.
Similar to Gold Rations, Abyss Stones are meta-progression resources. Use them to upgrade Sycom stats and unlock new characters during loadout confirmation before entering the Overgrowth.
How to Get & Use Key in Hyper Light Breaker
Keys are occasionally found in small, unmarked containers within the Overgrowth.
Keys bypass barriers in the Overgrowth, granting access to Stashes and other containers. They also unlock Labs, subterranean areas with enemies and loot.
How to Get & Use MediGem in Hyper Light Breaker
Extremely valuable, MediGems are earned by interacting with glowing flowers in the Overgrowth. They're exchanged for Medkits when deploying from the Hub's Telepad or visiting Shrines.
You must first expand your Medkit capacity to one using a Gold Ration at Pherus Bit in the Hub.
How to Get & Use Core in Hyper Light Breaker
Cores, another meta-progression resource, are sometimes found in Stashes (marked with chest icons) or by combining four Core Shards. Shards are earned from enemies that drop Prisms (yellow diamond markers) and unmarked lootable objects.
Use Cores to upgrade your Sycom during loadout confirmation, boosting your Breaker's stats.
How to Get & Use Material in Hyper Light Breaker
Materials are primarily obtained by using Bright Blood to open small chests (often marked with gems) in the Overgrowth. Selling gear in the Hub also provides Materials.
Use Materials to purchase gear from vendors in the Hub and Overgrowth. Similar to Bright Blood, but with more limited applications.
