Genshin Impact 5.5: Android Controller Support Added

If you're a Genshin Impact player on Android, you're in for a treat because controller support is finally on its way. After a long wait, especially since iOS users enjoyed this feature back in 2021, Android players will soon experience the game in a whole new way with Version 5.5.

When Will Genshin Impact Get Controller Support on Android?

Starting March 26th, 2025, you'll be able to connect your Android device to a controller and dive into the world of Genshin Impact without relying on the touchscreen. This update will officially support four controllers: DualShock 4, DualSense, Xbox Wireless Controller, and Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2. It's important to note that all these controllers require Bluetooth connectivity.

But that's not all Version 5.5 has in store. Alongside controller support, you'll see several quality-of-life improvements. One of the most exciting additions is cross-scene quest tracking, allowing you to monitor quests across different areas seamlessly. Just open the map and teleport directly to your quest destination, making your adventure smoother than ever.

New players will benefit from updated boss guides, which will help you understand enemy mechanics more effectively. Additionally, the Artifact system, Serenitea Pot, and Mail system are all set to receive optimizations. While the full details will be unveiled during the Special Program Announcement on March 14th, these updates promise to enhance your overall gaming experience.
