Elden Ring Invites Players to Sign Up for Nightreign Network Test

Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test: Sign-Ups Open January 10th

The first network test for Elden Ring Nightreign begins accepting registrations this Friday, January 10th. However, this initial beta will only be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Announced at The Game Awards 2024, Elden Ring Nightreign is a cooperative Soulsborne experience set in The Lands Between, designed for three-player parties. Targeted for a 2025 release, the game will undergo at least one network test before launch.

Limited Beta Access:

This initial test will exclude PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC players, representing less than half of the game's planned platforms. FromSoftware has confirmed no cross-platform multiplayer, meaning players will only be matched with others on the same console. Progress made during the beta likely won't carry over to the full game. Additional beta tests may be announced later.

How to Register:

1. Visit the official Elden Ring Nightreign network test website starting January 10th.
2. Register, specifying your preferred platform (PS5 or Xbox Series X/S).
3. Await confirmation email (arriving no later than February 2025, the test's scheduled month).
4. Participate in the February 2025 network test.

Gameplay Limitations:

Besides the platform restrictions, Elden Ring Nightreign will feature only solo or three-player parties; FromSoftware has opted against balancing for two-player groups. Whether the network test will include additional gameplay limitations remains to be seen. Specific test dates will be revealed in the coming weeks.
