Dragonkin: The Banished A New Era Begins with Demo and Extensive Update Plans
Eko Software and NACON have released a demo and detailed roadmap for the early access launch of their action RPG, Dragonkin: The Banished. The early access version includes the prologue and first chapter, letting players experience the story through three unique heroes: the Knight, the Oracle, and the Barbarian. Players will also encounter four Vermplings—cooperative companions—and utilize the innovative Bloodline Grid skill progression system. Endgame hunting quests and initial hub city upgrades are also available. The demo is live now until March 3, 2025, as part of Steam Next Fest.
The developers have ambitious plans for the coming year. Spring updates will bring new abilities, enhanced endgame content, a new endgame activity, and improved hub city features. Summer will introduce a new hero, additional skills, and expanded endgame challenges. By autumn, multiplayer support will arrive, alongside continued refinements to the Bloodline Grid and hub city.
In Dragonkin: The Banished, players explore a world corrupted by ancient dragon blood. Players guide a legendary warrior, battling sinister creatures and confronting the powerful Dragonlords behind the chaos. Character growth, equipment upgrades, and Vermpling evolution drive progression, while the strategic Bloodline Grid allows for customized abilities.
Dragonkin: The Banished enters Steam Early Access on March 6, 2025, with a full release planned for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
