HBO's Harry Potter Series Casts Draco, Lucius Malfoy

The highly anticipated HBO Harry Potter series has completed casting for several pivotal roles including Draco Malfoy, Lucius Malfoy, and Molly Weasley.

Katherine Parkinson, renowned for her role in The IT Crowd, takes on the beloved character of Molly Weasley - the warm-hearted Weasley family matriarch previously portrayed by Julie Walters in the film adaptations.

Emerging talent Lox Pratt lands the coveted role of Draco Malfoy, Harry Potter's privileged Slytherin rival throughout their Hogwarts years. Johnny Flynn, known for Lovesick, will embody Draco's cunning father Lucius Malfoy.

Additional Hogwarts student castings include Leo Earley as the explosive-prone Seamus Finnigan, Alessia Leoni as the charismatic Parvati Patil, and Sienna Moosah as Lavender Brown.

Earlier announcements revealed The Crown's Bertie Carvel as Minister Cornelius Fudge, with Bel Powley and Daniel Rigby cast as Harry's unpleasant relatives Petunia and Vernon Dursley.

The newly announced Harry Potter cast: Katherine Parkinson as Molly Weasley, Lox Pratt as Draco Malfoy, Johnny Flynn as Lucius Malfoy, Leo Earley as Seamus Finnigan, Alessia Leoni as Parvati Patil, Sienna Moosah as Lavender Brown, Bel Powley as Petunia Dursley, Daniel Rigby as Vernon Dursley and Bertie Carvel as Cornelius Fudge.

With production commencing soon, most principal roles have now been filled including the central trio: Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley.

The series previously announced John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, followed by additional casting reveals including Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid, Luke Thallon as Quirinus Quirrell, and Paul Whitehouse as Argus Filch.
