Call of Duty: Warzone exploit unlocks classic camos
A newly discovered Warzone glitch allows players to equip Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) camos on Black Ops 6 (BO6) weapons. This workaround, detailed by Twitter user BSPGamin and highlighted by Dexerto, is considered a non-official method and is therefore subject to removal in future updates.
The glitch requires a second player and involves specific steps within a private Warzone match. The process begins by equipping a BO6 weapon in the first loadout slot of a private match and joining a friend's lobby. Then, equip an MW3 weapon, and rapidly select the desired camo while the host switches to a private match. The friend then leaves, the player repeats the camo selection process, and the friend rejoins the private match. If successful, the MW3 camo will be applied to the BO6 weapon.
This workaround addresses a common player frustration: the inability to use MW3 camos earned through extensive gameplay on BO6 weapons, particularly the meta weapons prevalent in Warzone. Many players consider this a desirable standard feature. While MW3 weapons remain accessible in Warzone, the meta leans towards BO6, rendering earned MW3 camos largely unused.
The demand for this feature stems from the significant time investment required to unlock mastery camos in BO6, mirroring the grind in previous Call of Duty titles. The process involves achieving gold, diamond, and dark spine camo levels on numerous weapons before unlocking dark matter. This lengthy process is further emphasized by the absence of an in-game challenge tracking feature in BO6, a feature present in MW3. However, Treyarch has confirmed that challenge tracking will be reintroduced in a future update. Until then, this glitch provides a temporary solution, though its temporary nature should be noted.
