How to Brew Coffee in Wanderstop
In Ivy Road and Annapurna Interactive's Wanderstop, players step into the shoes of Alta, a weary warrior who finds solace in running a quaint tea shop nestled in a magical forest. The shop's diverse clientele brings unique requests, including the occasional demand for coffee—a beverage not typically on the menu. Here's your guide to unlocking and brewing coffee in Wanderstop.
Which Customers Want Coffee in Wanderstop?
In the fourth cycle of Wanderstop, a stunning humanoid bird graces the shop with her presence, seeking a sophisticated cup of tea. Shortly after, a trio of businessmen named Jerry, Larry, and Terry, clad in suits and carrying briefcases, mistakenly arrive at the shop on their way to a boardroom presentation. Despite Alta's attempts to guide them back on track, they refuse her offers of tea, insisting on coffee. Initially, there's no coffee to be found, and the businessmen decide to wait until it becomes available.
Boro, the shop's owner, explains that coffee has never grown in this enchanted forest. The situation seems hopeless until Zenith, an interdimensional figure fascinated by the businessmen, enters the scene. Unlike the trio, Zenith is open to trying Alta's tea, marking their first foray into "ingredients brewed with hot water."
How to Unlock Coffee Beans in Wanderstop
To unlock coffee beans, you'll need to prepare a special cup of tea for Zenith, incorporating something valuable like a book, trinket, pot, mug, small plant, or photograph. After savoring the tea, Zenith, curious about the distinction between tea and coffee, asks Alta about the latter. Alta mentions "coffee beans," sparking a revelation for Zenith.
Harnessing the power of the Infinite Path, Zenith brings coffee beans into existence within the forest. They begin to grow in the clearing, and instructions for harvesting and brewing them are added to Alta’s Field Guide.
How to Harvest and Brew Coffee in Wanderstop
Once summoned by Zenith, coffee beans sprout randomly throughout the clearing. You can harvest them similarly to fruits and seeds, and store them in your ingredients pocket or carry them in hand. They can also be placed on shelves, tables, floors, or outside on the ground.
Before brewing, the beans must be cleaned. Place them in the dishwasher and wait for the dish trains to deliver them to the tea room.
To brew coffee, fill the tea maker with water and heat it as needed. Use the gear to pour the water into the infuser. A single bean is enough to brew a cup of coffee, though customers might request additional beans or other ingredients. After brewing, use the gear to pour the coffee into the kettle, then decant it into mugs for serving to customers, Boro, or Alta herself.
Introducing coffee not only satisfies the businessmen but also delights Zenith and offers a new option for other customers. Even Boro gives it a try, though he admits it's not to his taste.
That's how you unlock, harvest, and brew coffee in Wanderstop.
