Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 8: New Subclasses Revealed

Baldur's Gate 3's highly anticipated Patch #8 is just around the corner, bringing with it a host of exciting new features. Leading the charge are cross-play functionality and a much-requested photo mode, but the real showstopper is the introduction of 12 brand-new subclasses.

Larian Studios recently offered a sneak peek at four of these subclasses in a new video: the enchanting Bard of the College of Enchantment, the powerful Barbarian of the Path of the Giant, the mysterious Cleric of the Death Domain, and the celestial Druid of the Circle of Stars. This is just Part 1 of a series showcasing all 12; two more trailers are planned to reveal the remaining subclasses.

While the official release date for Patch #8 remains undisclosed, stress testing is currently underway with further sign-up opportunities available. This testing phase, which began in January, also included a major update introducing the highly anticipated photo mode. Patch #8 marks the culmination of the game's post-launch development, leaving players both excited and curious about the future of Baldur's Gate 3.
