ArtClash: A Daily Drawing Challenge App (Early Access)

ArtClash isn't Sketchbook, Photoshop, Procreate, or Infinite Painter. It's a unique, social drawing app designed to help you improve your drawing, sketching, and cartooning skills daily. Currently in early access, ArtClash offers a fun and competitive way to practice.

We're a one-person team building this app for ourselves and the community. The core game is complete, but many more features are on the way.

Core Features:

• Versatile Painting Tools: Sketch, paint, and blend using various techniques.
• Image Import & Reference: Import images for reference or paint directly over them.
• Drawing Challenges: Choose topics (with varying difficulty levels), set constraints (time, color palette, canvas size), draw, and earn points when others guess your creation correctly. Difficulty ranges from single words to phrases of up to five words.
• Free Drawing & Sharing: Create and share your artwork freely with others.
• NSFW Filtering: Control the visibility of NSFW content.

Early Access Limitations:

• UI Improvements Planned: The current UI is undergoing significant improvement. A more responsive and user-friendly interface is in development.
• Performance Optimization: For optimal performance on lower-end devices, keep canvases under 1024x1024 pixels. Larger canvases with small brushes can impact performance. We're actively testing and optimizing the brush engine.

Future Updates:

• New Game Modes: "Telephone" (drawing-based) and other game modes are planned.
• Enhanced Social Features: Avatars, commenting, friend lists, and following other users.
• Improved UI & Performance: Addressing the current UI limitations and optimizing the brush engine for speed and responsiveness.
• Advanced Tools: Marquee selection, transform tools, and an expanded brush library (including user-submitted brushes).
• Robust Layer System: Improved layer functionality, including features like locking transparent pixels and masking.
• Community Feedback System: A dedicated system for feature requests, bug reports, and community voting on future updates.
• Moderation System: Community moderators to help manage flagged content.
• Community Content Submission: Users will be able to submit topics and constraints for consideration.
• Long-Term Vision: Future plans include full image editing, animation, scripting, and game/storyboard prototyping capabilities.

ArtClash is currently optimized for social competition and daily practice. While full image editing capabilities are planned for the future, the current focus is on a fun and engaging user experience.
