Application Description
Tingklik is a traditional Balinese bamboo musical instrument.
The tingklik is a traditional Balinese instrument crafted from bamboo blades, played by striking them with a mallet known as a "tingklik pelvis." Tingklik gamelan typically comprises two types: Tingklik Polos and Tingklik Sangsih. A single tingklik consists of eleven to twenty-five bamboo blades, with the exact number determined by the musical scale employed. It is performed using both hands: the right hand typically plays the melody (kotekan), while the left hand provides the rhythm (bun). In some styles, the right hand may play the complementary part (sangsih) and the left hand the primary melody (polos).
