PHASE 10 RULES:

A phase is a card combination—usually sets (cards of the same number), runs (cards in consecutive order), cards of the same color, or a mix. As the name indicates, there are ten phases:

The dealer shuffles the deck and deals 10 cards face down, one by one, to each player. Players keep their cards hidden from others.

Completing phases

▪️ Phases must be completed in order, from 1 to 10.

▪️ You must have the entire Phase in your hand before playing it.

▪️ You can play more than the Phase requires, but only if extra cards fit directly into the Phase.

▪️ Only one Phase can be completed per hand.

▪️ If you complete a Phase, you move to the next Phase in the following hand. If you don’t complete it, you try the same Phase again next hand.

▪️ Phase completion is counted as soon as cards are laid down. Winning the hand isn’t required. Often, several players finish their Phase in the same hand.

Also, a player is not forced to lay down a Phase just because they have it. They must still discard one card at the end of their turn.

Going out and Ending the Round:

After laying down your Phase, try to play all remaining cards in your hand.

Important: You must always draw one card at the start of your turn and discard one at the end.

Scoring a Round:

A round ends when a player lays down their Phase and discards their last card.

Players add up the total points of the cards left in their hands (fewer cards are better), scored as follows:

▪️ 5 points for each card numbered 1-9

▪️ 10 points for each card numbered 10-12

▪️ 15 points for a Skip card

▪️ 25 points for a Wild card

Remember: The goal is to finish with the LOWEST score.

Finishing the game:

If only one player is on Phase 10 and completes it, they win immediately. If multiple players finish Phase 10 in the same round, the lowest scorer wins. If tied, tied players replay Phase 10—the first to complete it and discard their cards wins.
