Yakuza / Like a Dragon Fans Choosing Upcoming Official Merch, From Cult Clothes, Traffic Cones, and More Bizarre Items

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is letting fans vote on the next official merchandise items! Fans can choose from a whopping 100 options, with the top two vote-getters slated for release within the next two years. The poll is currently only available in Japanese, but submissions can be made on the official website.

The selection is a wild ride, ranging from standard anniversary apparel like hoodies and pencil cases to incredibly bizarre and iconic items from the series' history.

Some of the more outlandish choices include Munan Suzuki's cult outfit from Yakuza 0, the oversized traffic cone from Yakuza Kiwami, and the intriguingly named "Puffy Gold Pants." Other options draw from memorable scenes and characters, such as Majima's sake cup from Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Akiyama's gold watch, Kiryu's fountain pen from Yakuza 6, Kashiwagi's tambourine from Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Kiryu's wrestling mask from Yakuza 3, and Saejima's prison uniform from Yakuza 4.

The already busy 2025 anniversary year will see at least one new game launch: Like a Dragon: Pirate of the Caribbean in Hawaii, arriving February 21st. While a second major release is unconfirmed, RGG Studio's history of rapid development makes it a distinct possibility. Consider their impressive output over the past five years: Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Judgment Remastered, Lost Judgment, Like a Dragon: Ishin, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth, plus two Super Monkey Ball games and a Virtua Fighter 5 remaster – a total of nine games!
