Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Lineup: A Snowy Start and Stellar Additions

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers are in for a treat this January 2025! The month kicks off with a strong lineup, starting with the day-one release of Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders on January 21st. While the first half of the month saw some title shifts rather than significant new additions, the second half more than makes up for it.

Initially, the January 2025 Game Pass additions seemed sparse, with mostly existing titles moving between tiers. However, Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, a co-op and PvP skiing game, will be available exclusively to Ultimate subscribers upon its release. This follows the pattern established since the recent tier changes.

Beyond Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, January 2025's Game Pass offerings significantly expand in the latter half of the month. Three additional day-one titles join the service: Eternal Strands (January 28th), Sniper Elite: Resistance (January 30th), and Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (January 31st).

Of particular note is Eternal Strands, an action-adventure game from Yellow Brick Games (led by BioWare veteran Mike Laidlaw), which boasts a distinct Zelda-like aesthetic.
