WoW Subscription Price Increase in [Region]
World of Warcraft is raising prices for Australian and New Zealand players. Starting February 7th, all in-game transactions will cost more. This includes monthly subscriptions, WoW Tokens, and other services.
Blizzard cited global and regional market conditions as the reason for the increase. While prices are rising worldwide, the US monthly subscription price for WoW has remained at $14.99 since 2004.
The price hikes will affect both monthly and annual subscriptions, as well as the cost of WoW Tokens. The new prices are detailed below:

Currently, the USD to AUD conversion offers a slight USD discount, potentially aligning the new prices with current US rates. However, currency fluctuations remain a factor.
Players have expressed mixed reactions to the news. Some criticize Blizzard's decision, while others argue it brings prices closer to US equivalents. Blizzard assures players with active subscriptions as of February 6th will retain their current rates for up to six months. The company emphasizes that the price adjustments weren't made lightly and acknowledges the impact on players.
