Witcher 4 Creators Support Blood of Dawnwalker Authors, No Competition with Rebel Wolves

Gamers have started to take notice of *The Blood of Dawnwalker*, drawing inevitable comparisons to *The Witcher 4*. This buzz is largely due to the project being spearheaded by former CD Projekt Red (CDPR) team members, whose influence is evident in the game's ambiance and stylistic choices.

Following the release of the first trailer, fans have been buzzing about which of these games might outshine the other. However, both the developers behind *The Blood of Dawnwalker* and their former colleagues at CDPR believe that such comparisons are unwarranted. An X user encapsulated the sentiment perfectly, stating:

“Dawnwalker looks amazing, just like The Witcher 4. Both works can exist together. One game doesn't mean the other is dead. It's not a competition. Let's show respect.”

Patrick K. Mills, a key figure in the development of *The Witcher 3* and *Cyberpunk 2077*, chimed in on the discussion, emphasizing the lack of rivalry between the teams:

“Anyone who tries to compare these games is doing the devil's work. The teams have a long history together, we hang out together, we play games together, our group chats are full of praise for each team. There's nothing but love here. The culture war will remain a culture war, but these games share a common origin and common values.”

Philippe Weber, the narrative director for *The Witcher 4*, also highlighted the similarities in visual elements between the trailers of the two games. He shared a light-hearted moment:

“Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz and I were joking today about how the eyes in the dark in our two trailers were used as references to the TV series Midnight Mass to sell the idea early on. Many of the creators of the two games are friends, and we love seeing our friends succeed!”

Rebel Wolves, the studio behind *The Blood of Dawnwalker*, has set an ambitious goal: to create a new series of games that can stand toe-to-toe with established franchises. If the first trailer is any indication, *The Blood of Dawnwalker* has the potential to become a project as impressive as those from CDPR.
