Wario's Underground Kingdom Coming to NSO

Nintendo Switch Online subscribers with the Expansion Pack will receive a delightful treat on February 14th: the addition of the acclaimed Game Boy Advance title, Wario Land 4.

A newly released trailer showcases the game's return. Access is included at no extra charge for existing Expansion Pack members.

The game's synopsis teases Wario's latest treasure-hunting escapade: "The avaricious Wario returns, this time targeting a rumored treasure-filled, cursed pyramid. He soon discovers the curse is no laughing matter, facing a perilous struggle for survival."

Players will navigate 20 expansive levels, collecting gold and treasures to purchase bonus items between stages. A selection of engaging mini-games offers a welcome respite from the main adventure.

Originally released in 2001 to critical acclaim (scoring a 9/10 from IGN), Wario Land 4 stands out for its diverse level design and challenging gameplay, demanding players solve puzzles to progress. IGN's review highlighted the game's departure from typical side-scrolling conventions, emphasizing strategic navigation.

This marks the 24th Game Boy Advance title added to the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack library, joining a roster of classics including Mario Kart: Super Circuit, The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap, and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team.
