World of Warcraft Reveals First New Warbands Campsites
World of Warcraft Patch 11.1: New Customizable Character Select Screen Campsites
World of Warcraft Patch 11.1 introduces a fun new way to personalize your character selection screen: collectible campsites! Four new campsites are available to unlock in 11.1, with more promised in future updates.
Blizzard's latest update allows players to set multiple camps for their characters, each with customizable names and unlockable backgrounds. These are accessed via a new Collections tab, offering a preview and unlock options. The character select screen itself now features a campsite tab, letting players choose their preferred background or even randomize from favorites.
The initial four campsites in Patch 11.1, alongside the original "Adventurer's Rest," are:
- Ohn'ahran Overlook: A Centaur camp in the Ohn'ahran Plains. Unlocked automatically upon logging in after Patch 11.1.
- Freywold Spring: A hot spring in Freywold Village, Isle of Dorn. Unlocked by completing the "All That Khaz" meta-achievement from The War Within.
- Cultists' Quay: Located in the Nightfall Sanctum Delve in Hallowfall. Earned through the Season 2 Delver's Journey.
- Gallagio Grand Gallery: Gallywix's casino in Undermine. Unlocked by completing the "Racing to a Revolution" meta-achievement from Undermined.
- Adventurer's Rest: The original Warbands campsite, available by default.
These unlock methods are detailed within the new Collections tab. The character select screen now also lets players easily switch between their unlocked campsites, or even randomize their selection.
This customization builds on the Warbands system from World of Warcraft: The War Within, showing Blizzard's commitment to ongoing development of this feature. Future updates are expected to add more campsites, potentially through various avenues including new content, older zones, holiday events, the Trading Post, and even the in-game shop.
