IGN showcased an exclusive clip and interviews with Scott Gimple (Chief Content Officer), Lauren Cohan (Maggie), and Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan).
Cohan discussed Maggie's emotional state entering Season 2: "It's not all sunshine and roses," she explained, highlighting the relatable family tensions amidst the apocalyptic setting. The challenges of family life, caring for Ginny, and the constant struggle for survival set the stage for new conflicts.
