Universe for Sale Is a New Visual Novel Set in a Bizarre Bazaar on Planet Jupiter

Akupara Games and Tmesis Studio's latest adventure, Universe for Sale, is now available. Following successes like The Darkside Detective series and Zoeti, Akupara Games delivers another intriguing title.

Is the Universe Actually for Sale?

Set on a Jupiter space station, this bizarre bazaar is shrouded in acid rain and mystery. Orangutans with surprisingly sharp wits work the docks, while cultists barter flesh for enlightenment. The universe itself is for sale, thanks to Lila, a woman with the unique ability to create universes from her hand.

The game begins in a mining colony shantytown, where you play as the Master, a skeletal cultist from the Cult of Detachment. Exploring the ramshackle colony, filled with quirky shops, you eventually encounter Honin's Tea House, Lila's shop. The mystery unfolds as you switch between Lila's and the Master's perspectives.

Playing as Lila involves creating universes in a captivating mini-game, mixing ingredients to produce stunning visuals. As the Master, you delve into the philosophies of the Cult of Detachment and encounter the Church of Many Gods.

The narrative unfolds gradually, prompting players to theorize about the overarching plot. Each character, whether human, skeletal, or robotic, possesses a unique story, and the richly detailed world invites exploration.
