Ubisoft Discreetly Releases A New NFT Game

As reported by Eurogamer, Ubisoft's latest venture is a limited-access multiplayer game. Only 10,000 players can join, each needing a Citizen ID Card NFT, purchased for approximately $25.63 from Ubisoft's Magic Eden page. This card tracks player achievements and evolves based on in-game performance. Players can also resell their IDs. The full launch is slated for Q1 2025, with early access for those who secure an ID now.

The game expands upon the universe of the Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix Netflix series, a spin-off of Far Cry 3's Blood Dragon DLC. The series and game share a dystopian 1992 setting where the US is a megacorporation-controlled technocracy called Eden. Players become citizens of Eden, influencing the narrative through missions, leaderboard rankings, and community participation.
