Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 Receives Rating in Singapore

The buzz around a potential Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 remake is heating up, and the latest fuel to the rumor fire comes from Singapore's rating board. They've rated "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4" for a 2025 release, adding significant credibility to the whispers of a new installment in the iconic skateboarding series. This rumored collection is set to include the next two mainline games in the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series and is slated to launch on a wide array of platforms, including Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

While no official confirmation has been made public yet, a countdown timer spotted in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is teasing some Tony Hawk's Pro Skater news on the horizon. The timer is set to expire on March 4, 2025, which could be the day fans finally get the announcement they've been waiting for.

Tony Hawk himself has added to the excitement, revealing in an interview with Mythical Kitchen that he's been in discussions with Activision again. He hinted at a project in the works, stating, "It will be something the fans will truly appreciate." This comes on the heels of the critically acclaimed Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 remake released in 2020, which set a high bar for what fans can expect from a follow-up.

The original plan, according to Tony Hawk, was to proceed with a Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 remake right after the release of 1+2. However, the landscape changed when Activision merged the original developer, Vicarious Visions, into Blizzard in 2021, shifting their focus to Blizzard's projects. This left Activision searching for a new developer to take on the challenge.

In a 2022 Twitch livestream, Tony Hawk shared that Activision had been exploring options with other studios, seeking pitches on how they would approach a new THPS title. Unfortunately, none of the pitches met Activision's expectations, leaving the project in limbo until now.

The big question remains: if a Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 remake is indeed in the works, who is developing it? The Singaporean ratings board lists only Activision as both the publisher and developer, leaving fans eager to find out more. With the countdown timer set to end next week on March 4, it seems we won't have to wait long for some answers.
