Thrones' "Kingsroad" Beta on Horizon
Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is launching a closed beta on Android and PC starting January 15th! Netmarble's latest Game of Thrones adaptation offers a third-person action-adventure experience set in Westeros. Sign-ups are open now, but you'll need to act fast—the beta ends January 22nd.
This closed beta, available in the US, Canada, and select European regions, marks a departure from previous Game of Thrones mobile games. Unlike strategy-focused titles, Kingsroad puts you in control of a single character, the unlikely heir to House Tyrell. You'll explore Westeros, battle enemies, and climb the ranks.
The trailer suggests a Witcher-esque experience, featuring third-person combat and exploration. Players can choose from three distinct classes: Sellsword, Knight, and Assassin. While visually impressive, the ultimate test will be the gameplay itself.
Don't miss out! Registration for the closed beta closes January 12th.
Game of Thrones: Kingsroad has the potential to be a hit, but it will undoubtedly face intense scrutiny. While the peak of Game of Thrones' popularity may have passed, a dedicated fanbase eagerly awaits a high-quality, immersive experience. Key factors for success will be monetization strategy, long-term support, and overall gameplay. If Netmarble delivers, this could be the Game of Thrones game fans have been waiting for.
