Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will arrive in Call of Duty

Activision has announced a new crossover event for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Warzone, bringing back the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This isn't the first time these shelled heroes have graced an Activision shooter.

While details on the collaboration's content and launch date (only described as "soon") remain scarce, the CODWarfareForum has leaked some unconfirmed information. Speculation points towards operator skins for all four turtles—though the absence of April O'Neil, Master Splinter, and Shredder is notable. New melee weapons are also rumored, including a skateboard, katana, nunchucks, and a staff. The Grind map, a skatepark, is expected to be a central location for the crossover events.

However, fan reaction has been muted, not due to a lack of enthusiasm for the TMNT franchise, but rather due to the current state of Black Ops Cold War. The game's struggles with bugs and cheaters have significantly impacted its player base, leaving many feeling the crossover is ill-timed and potentially futile. The long-term success of this collaboration remains uncertain.
